If you are interested in introducing Latin to your school, or supporting your existing provision, we are here to help. We have already helped over 500 state secondary schools introduce Latin over the last decade.

Resources

Our key resources are the Cambridge Latin Course textbooks. We estimate that over 90% of secondary schools that offer Latin use the course, which carefully integrates the teaching of Latin with Roman culture. With the help of the UK Department for Education, we have developed a variety of print and digital additional resources, to enable schools without specialist teachers to deliver the course.

Teaching Support for Schools

For some schools, the Cambridge Latin Course textbooks, together with a range of additional print and electronic resources, are enough to allow them to run a Latin class. Other schools may wish to enrol pupils on one of our distance learning courses where they can learn Latin via email correspondence with an experienced tutor.

Grants

Since grants may be available to help with the cost of purchasing the print resources, schools can minimise costs when equipping themselves with the resources necessary to establish a Latin class.

Further Help

There are many considerations to address when introducing a new subject without a subject specialist teacher on the staff, whether it be for a term or through to GCSE and A level. If you do not find an answer to your query in this area of our site, please do contact us for help and advice.
